The MoMu Fashion and Sustainability Walk illuminates the many facets of sustainability across the Antwerp fashion scene.
This walk does not show where you can shop ecologically, or which designers and labels are sustainable. Instead, we want you to see how the principles of sustainability are everywhere.
To see if the desired time slot is available, enter the number of participants under ‘Group size (Group ticket)’, choose the guide language and select the date.
From 31/08/2022 10:00 pm (UTC) until 31/12/2030 10:59 pm (UTC)
During the MoMu Fashion & Sustainability Walk, participants are invited to explore these many facets. Our MoMu guide brings new perspective to fashion and sustainability, illustrating their multiple layers on the basis of Antwerp’s fashion scene and history. The walk not only takes its participants along the defining locations, designers and movements in the fashion city, but is also enhanced through unique photographic and video material from the MoMu Library archives, further stimulating fascination for fashion. Due to a closing day in all Antwerp stores, the possibility to view showcases is more limited on Sundays.
This 90 minutes guided walk takes you along the streets of Antwerp’s fashion district. It starts – how could it be otherwise – in the Nationalestraat, for years the home of both MoMu – Fashion Museum Antwerp and the Antwerp Fashion Academy. The walk then continues along the Kammenstraat, Rosier, Huidevetterstraat, Lombardenstraat and Steenhouwersvest, to return back to the starting point.
If desired, you can use a tour guide system by letting us know in advance at publiek@momu.be. The tour guide system includes a microphone for the guide and headphones for the participants. That way the guide is easily understandable at all times.
