Toddlers will be guided through the Museum Plantin-Moretus by our special guides Christopher Plantin and his daughter Martina, two beautiful hand puppets. They will each tell their own story and invite you to solve puzzles, dress up, sing, laugh and move around.

Christopher will talk about his house and about the difference between life in the past and the present. His daughter Martina is an inquisitive girl and tells the children all about letters and the hard work in the print shop.

Practical information:

  • This guided tour is suitable for pre-schoolers in the third grade of kindergarten or the first trimester of the first year of primary school
  • Maximum 12 toddlers per group (an average class of 24 children is split up, twelve children go with Christopher and twelve with Martina, afterwards they will switch)
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • During the guided tour you will visit the ground floor
  • Your museum ticket is valid all day long, so you will be able to visit the rest of the Museum Plantin-Moretus

Isn't the tour too long for toddlers?

A tour of 1.5 hours will always have a short break, during which the toddlers can go to the toilet and run around in the courtyard garden. Thanks to the alternation of the two different dolls, the tour remains interesting for the toddlers.

Is the price feasible for a kindergarten class?
