A fascinating and surprising bicycle tour through the port of Antwerp. The tour starts at Het Steen and takes us past Zaha Hadid’s Port House through the historic port, past locks and bridges and over the Scheldt dike to Lillo.

For the return trip we use the Waterbus. In Lillo, A 25km long and 4h tour, easy to cycle, mostly on well laid out bike paths.

Did you know that:

  • Het Steen is the oldest building in our city?
  • The port of Antwerp is the 2nd largest in Europe?
  • We enjoy nature along the Scheldt dikes and in Lillo Fort?
  • As a finale we are treated to an amazing view of the Antwerp skyline?

Practical information:

  • This activity is suitable for anyone who can easily cycle 25 km
  • Because of the sometimes strong winds in the port area we recommend e-bikes
  • Maximum 12 people per group
  • Duration: 240 minutes
  • Bike(s) not included, bring your own bike or rent one
    • Rental e-bike 30 euros per bike + 65 euros delivery cost (per bike ride)
      • After booking, you’ll receive an email with the ticket(s) attached. Together with this email you’ll find on these ticket(s) all information for booking the bikes (e-bikes)
  • Ticket to be purchased on the Waterbus (4 euros per ticket or 24 euros for a ten-ride pass)

We do not have e-bikes and would like to use our regular bikes. Is that possible?

It is certainly possible. We maintain a pace of 20 km per hour to arrive back at Het Steen within 4 hours. Because of the strong wind that can be in the harbor, we recommend e-bikes. However, for experienced cyclists this is not a problem.

We cycle only 25 km in 4 hours?

We cycle to Lillo in about 3h with several stops where our guide gives a word of explanation. The Waterbus takes us back to Het Steen.

Is there a break foreseen somewhere?

There are several stops along the way, however there are no cafes in the port. So be sure to bring something to drink along the way.
