With this card set from the Museum Plantin-Moretus, young people and adults who are learning Dutch can discover the museum and its rich collections. Christopher Plantin, who was himself a non-native newcomer from France, never fully mastered the Dutch language. That is why he published the first Dutch dictionary. Using the educational tool ‘Word cloud’ (formerly Listening eyes), pupils will follow in Plantin’s footsteps.

Is this tour also suitable for disabled people?

The tour will take place on the ground floor and the first floor. Wheelchair users can only visit the ground floor. The Museum Plantin-Moretus is an historic house that grew organically over several centuries. That’s why there are several steps leading from one room to another on the first floor, which are impossible to navigate with a wheelchair. The guide will adapt the tour accordingly.
