Discover the rich history of the Plantin-Moretus printing family. Get to know the subtleties of the art of printing and discover the Museum Plantin-Moretus in an active way. Our activities invite the students to observe, think and do, which makes history all the more fascinating.

The students will be given worksheets (viewing guides) and, with the help of a teacher and a guide, they will walk through the Museum Plantin-Moretus in small groups looking for the answers. The worksheets will be discussed with the whole group. The guide will develop the information that the pupils have discovered into a broader vision.
This tour fits in closely with the various attainment targets and curricula of secondary education and is mainly aimed at the 2nd and 3rd grade ASO (general secondary education) and TSO (technical education). The assignments will be chosen to suit the group.
Practical information:
The tour will take place on the ground floor and the first floor. Wheelchair users can only visit the ground floor. The Museum Plantin-Moretus is an historic house that grew organically over several centuries. That’s why there are several steps leading from one room to another on the first floor, which are impossible to navigate with a wheelchair. The guide will adapt the tour accordingly.
